Marbella Town Hall Officially Awards MIUC Scholarships

Six municipality youths receive scholarships to study at Hospitality Management School Les Roches and Marbella International University Centre.

The Mayor of Marbella, José Bernal and the Chairwoman for Culture and Education, Gema Midón, have officially handed out the full scholarships that will allow six municipality youths to carry out their studies at Hospitality Management School Les Roches and Marbella International University Centre.

The alderman has stated that “this city is home to several prestigious private centres and, like in this case, the Town Hall collaborates with them to provide scholarships designed for young residents of Marbella and San Pedro Alcántara” and has announced that “our intention is to increase the number of scholarships next year and to continue collaborating with other education centres and institutions”.

The Culture and Education Chairwoman said “the governing team is very satisfied by supporting young, talented citizens and we will continue to work in the same line”, she pointed out “the high academic level” of the scholarship applicants.

Regarding the Marbella International University Centre scholarships, five full scholarships have been awarded of the seven available ones and the recipients areYasmeen Iman Abusakout, Sofía Carola Martín Garoña, Jorge Padilla Santos, Patricia Marzal Pereda and Karen Sofía García Yunda.

These students will be able to study a full Bachelor Degree of their choice out of the following options: Media and Communications, International Relations, International Business and Marketing and Advertising.

Carlos Díez de la Lastra, director of Les Roches and Óscar MArtínez Tapia, dean of Marbella International University Centre were at the scholarship award event, both of whom have thanked the Town Hall for collaborating.
