Christophe de Landtsheer

Christophe’s unique career has been driven by a relentless intellectual appetite.
He started in academia as a researcher at the University of Leuven (Belgium), the University of Hull (UK) and the University of Münster (Germany) studying political economics.
Christophe's first non-academic job was in the area of international trading of seeds and vegetable oils. As finance director he developed a credit line optimisation software programme which he later sold commercially.
In the early 1990's he enrolled in an Information Science Master´s Degree at the University of Antwerp (Belgium). Here he grasped the opportunities offered by the World Wide Web and before long he was starting up pioneering companies such as Event-IT and TourWeb among others.
Christophe spent three years as a strategy consultant at CapGemini. He then was head-hunted as executive programme director at Brussels Airlines where for four years he supervised the enterprise investment programme, a 200-project portfolio.
Since 2006 Christophe has worked as a consultant in corporate finance, investment and programme management. He also served as managing director and co-owner of 3T Tank Terminal Technologies and Benefolio Continuity Consulting, as well as director and co-founder of Lumevents which provides strategic planning for public events.
Christophe's broad experience allows him to teach specific business subjects whilst keeping a birdseye on the big picture issues. He published in varied fields such as philosophy, business continuity, ICT and politics. His academic research is currently geared towards the emerging fintech industry - specifically towards crowdfunding.
