Daniel J. Martinez Canca

International Consultant Council Member in Gerson Lehrman Group in Digital & Marketing Strategies, CLM and CRM integration, Market Research & Business Intelligence through commercial models for Sales Force Effectiveness, SEM/SEO, Branding & Promotion, e-Marketing, as well as in the medical markets of Oncology, Neurology, HIV, Cardio-metabolism, and Respiratory area.

He co-founded and is the CEO of ESEMED – (Higher School of Medical Studies) in Malaga, Spain, where he is the Head of Physicians & Nurses for training Programs, Head of Commercial, Promotional & Communication Plans, and Head of International Relations.

His career spans six countries, having recently left Novartis in Dublin, Ireland, where he was in charge of digital marketing activities for global franchises for Latin America, Asia, Middle East and European CLM, focusing on medical content, scientific information focused on patients’ support, with the aim of optimizing brand plans gaining commercial tactics efficiency and sales force effectiveness.

He holds a Master degree in Marketing & Sales Management, ESIC, Madrid, and held a Research Fellowship in Oncology from June, 1997 to July 2001, Università Vita Salute–San Raffaele, DIBIT & Open University of London. Milan (Italy).

He has held appointments and taught at the ESIC Business School – e-Commerce & Direct Marketing Institute, from 2012 to 2014. In 2003, he co-founded the AEFI Marketing Unit (Spanish Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry), and has been a Pharmacy Faculty Associate Professor at Alfonso X El Sabio University UAX since 2003.

In March 2004, he received “the best initiative in the Pharmaceutical Industry in 2003” award, as Cofounder of AEFI’s Marketing Commission, at the III Meeting of Correo Farmacéutico, in Madrid, Spain.
