Eva Berkovic, MA

Cognitive Behavioral therapist

Raised in countries Sweden, Chile, Denmark, Israel and Croatia, Eva learned in the diverse environment of international schools. Her multicultural perspective created a strong interest in Psychology which she studied at the University of Zagreb, to experience her hometown.
Her curiosity for understanding the relationship between the brain and human behavior continued with her current PhD studies in Neuroscience. After completing an internship in clinical psychology at the Croatian Institute for Brain Research she still takes part at the Institute, doing research on international clinical studies and pursuing her doctoral thesis.

Balancing between academic passion and clinical practice Eva worked as a psychologist in a well-known Psychiatric Hospital in Croatia. Her work consisted of clinical interviews, psychometric testing and assessment, establishing medical diagnosis, writing psychological reports, and doing individual counseling as well as group therapy. To excel in counseling she studied to gain her therapist license from the European Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies.

Her desire to remain in an intercultural environment now brings her to Marbella where she hopes to help our students not only by teaching psychology concepts, but also giving psychological guidance in social, behavioral, emotional and personal factors that can influence a student’s learning experience.
