Law and business go hand in hand in today’s transnational environment. Entrepreneurially sensitive lawyers are the friends of entrepreneurs. Legal awareness equips entrepreneurs with the ability to make decisions that advance fast-growth and tech-first companies and they do not face the risk of being left at the funeral wake of their business.
The Business and Law programme offers well-rounded interdisciplinary studies of both business and law. This challenging and prestigious program provides students with a complete set of skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to have a successful career in a global world.
This course is for everyone seeking a competitive advantage in today’s international job market. Students gain a plethora of crucial transferrable skills. We teach our students how to relate business theory to recent world events and debate the implications thereof. We include compelling real-life examples of contract law and show how contracts are applied across various jurisdictions.

In the first year, the students attend modules which will assist them to build a critical foundation and start thinking like leaders in the corporate world. For instance, in the Fundamentals of Business module, we teach the economics of start-ups; in Business Law we teach our students how to draft contracts that are both clear and water-tight. In the second and third years, students have the possibility of choosing optional modules based on their area of interests. In the final year, students choose a standard area dissertation or capstone project which provides them with the experience to solve a business problem.

The programme is constantly updated to ensure that our graduates receive the necessary training for data analysis in business and legal decision making, as these fields are increasingly digitized. Please bear in mind that the programme described here serves the purpose of informing prospective students of the key programme characteristics, courses included therein and the year-to-year progression.
