To begin, a Marketing degree will open a wide variety of doors for you in your career. The more doors you open, the more opportunity and avenues there are for you to explore!

Marketing positions have become a major necessity for many multi-national companies. As a result, international students who study marketing are typically able to get a job almost anywhere! These days virtually every company and /or brand has a marketing team, or is in desperate need of one! By studying marketing you will be learning all aspects of marketing and all the different tasks involved. For example, you will learn how to research and satisfy customer needs through product and service development, planning, pricing, advertising, promotion and distribution. Once you graduate, you will be able to work in a variety of different industries instead of being pigeon holed into one.

A marketing degree will provide you with knowledge that can help you in any business-related career as its foundation covers topics such as consumer relations, communication, and the various stakeholders involved. These skills are transferable to many business-related fields.

Graduates who acquire an undergraduate major in marketing often obtain positions in sales or as assistants in marketing departments to start. Others may be employed in marketing research or advertising. If you decide to continue with Marketing at postgraduate level more senior positions will be available to you such as advertising manager or product and brand manager to name a few.
