Marbella International University Centre was pleased to welcome Swans International School student Glafira Belova in the work experience programme 2018.
The Year 10 student was involved in a range of different activities that are very difficult to replicate in a classroom environment and we at MIUC were happy to have such able and cheerful assistance during our extremely busy marking period.
Some of her duties included helping out the MIUC librarian, Teresa Muñoz Ëcija, where Glafira learned all about the proper sealing and labeling of books, the correct placement of books on the shelves following our library classification system, which is based on the Dewey Decimal Classification, as well as getting to know our MIUC library policies and regulations as well as the services the library offers, including our circulation policy, and donations and conduct policies.
Work experience programmes strengthen the ties between Marbella´s schools and our University, and are a worthwhile exercise, assisting their participants with both their studies and when they eventually enter the world of work.
We wish Glafira all the best in her continuing education and look forward to maybe welcoming her here at MIUC in the near future!
